Menu Plan Monday -28 May 2012

Colin planted 49 tomatoes yesterday and we helped with another 30 pumpkins (giants and jacks).  Only another 200 or so to go  :)
Exciting week for Ella.  Tuesday is dress rehearsal and Saturday is recital.  I'll have to get stuff together to try to keep all the little one entertained for the afternoon.  I really don't like the way the school runs the recital.  ALL the girls show up at noon (including the 3 year olds) and don't get let go until the show is over, usually around 4.  That is a loooong afternoon to sit in a gymnasium.   When I was Ella's age and attended the Burns School of Dance (just outside of Toronto) we had our recital at the local high school too (just like here).  Mom and I showed up 30 minutes before I went on stage, she got me ready and got me lined up with my friends.  After my performance -are you ready for this- we went home.  Now I understand that with today's society it would be hard to let Moms/Dads in to dress the girls.  But, there is no reason security couldn't sign the girls out as their performances finished.  It would be much easier on security and actually more secure than releasing the girls in a mad rush to a giant crowd at the end of the day (after waking up the little ones).
