Well, Friday was a bit of a disappointment. We went to the Petawawa Farmers' Market, just to try doing 2 markets a week. While it was nice to be at a market that doesn't require me to lug and set up tents and tables is a good thing, I'm not sure we made enough to justify the gas to get there! To be honest it was a rainy kind of day, so we will give it a try in a couple weeks. We were at Renfrew Farmers' Market on Saturday (in the drizzle again) and had a much better turn out. But then again, the Renfrew market advertises and is right downtown. You have to purposely go to the one in Petawawa. Not exactly the location I'd choose.
They may be a little late arriving but they are finally here! Strawberries!!!!!!!!!!!!!For anyone living near me, the best place to get berries is Doumas in Beachburg. Only $4 a litre compared to the $5 McGregor's are charging.
And of course, when you have fresh strawberries you haveto make Shortcake! And of course, since strawberries don't keep, you have to eat them for breakfast too :O

I went to Bouden's yesterday and picked 12L - We've eaten 8 already :P
I didn't even know the Pet market was operating until I heard Lois happen to mention it last week. I hope it's a better season this year for you - Pem is slow right now too.
