Menu Plan Monday -20 December 2010
Christmas is coming, how are your plans coming along. I'm a bit behind in cookie baking, but that just may be the way it is this year. I'm hoping to get started wrapping presents today. Did you notice there is no grocery shopping on the plan this week? That's because, two weeks ago, I did the groceries for the month. Yep, I hate the stores this time of year that much. Yes I'll have to pick up milk once or twice, but at least that's quick in and out or if I'm lucky Grandma will get my milk why she helps her employer do his groceries.

Paula, I made your oven beef stew tonight and it was delicious! It's pretty thick, so I will add water to it when we have the leftovers tomorrow night.
The kids are heading to Canada in the morning (Wed.) SIL's grandmother said the 401 was shut down yesterday due to snow. Geeze, just what I needed to hear! Now I will worry till they get back to Ohio, safe and sound (I hope!)
We like it fairly thick, but maybe your pot doesn't seal as well as my kitchenaid dutch oven.
Everything is clear and Toronto will likely have a green Christmas. I think it must be "grandma" news. My grandma gets news wrong too. She sees anything happen east of Peterborough and thinks it's Armageddon for us :)
Hope they had a good drive.
I added water to the stew tonight and it was better. It was so thick last night, it was sticking to the casserole dish! It has a really good taste, though! We liked it.
Amy called at noon and they were at the border, getting ready to cross over into Windsor. She called from her in-laws at 7:30 and said they made it just fine. Stopped at Grandma's first to drop off their stuff. They are staying with her. Said our roads here were the worst part of their drive. We had a lot of fog and black ice on the roads this morning.
