Menu Plan Monday- 24 May 2010

Today is Victoria Day.  We don't do much, I don't like fireworks and our family doesn't drink.  It's just another working day for Colin.  Colin is busy transplanting his vegetables out of the greenhouse.  This is the weekend that most people start planting out.  It's a safe bet that we are finally done with the frost.  I have a few more seeds to go out into the garden.  Other than that, not too many plans this week.

Monday:
hot dogs
leftovers

Tuesday:  grocery day
pb & h for Daddy
rotisserie chicken -on sale at grocery store

Wednesday:
meat perishky
roast beef

Thursday:  -knit night
cowboy casserole
leftover chicken

Friday:
French toast
leftover roast beef

Saturday:  -Ella's dance recital
pb & h for Daddy, we'll be at the concert hall
spaghetti

Sunday:
sandwiches
pork chops on the bbq

Don't forget I'm an Organizing Junkie for more.

Hope your holiday was warm! Hubby worked from home today, man, do I love that. It's so nice not going through the transition/excitement in the evening of him coming in, supper and evening activities- it's only once in a while so I take joy in it when it happens! Our holiday is this weekend we have no big plans either, funny is most our friends don't either.

We don't have plans for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend either. I did pick up what I needed to make homemade ice cream today at the grocery. We'll do that sometime over the weekend. Do you and Kimberly and your families care to join us?!! :)

Oh my yes, the heat and humidity has set in. We've had a couple really sleepless nights. Not only from the heat but also, Ella doesn't sleep well in the heat. I sure wish we had central air.

Back when I was a kid, we always got together with my best friend's family. We'd order Chinese and the parents would play canasta. If the rain stopped soon enough (seems it was always raining) we'd go outside for fireworks and sparklers. Seems these days people only look at the May 2-4 as a reason to drink.

Isn't it nice to have our sweeties home. I miss Colin during cropping season. I like knowing he's just across the yard :)

Grocery store was busy yesterday. I guess the Monday shoppers were there too.
